Meet the friendly staff at Wisconsin Valley Veterinary Service!
Becky Myszka, DVM completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in 2004 and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Myszka is especially interested in small animal and equine general surgery, medicine, and dentistry.
Dr. Myszka is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
Dr. Myszka lives with her husband Bob and two children, Madilynn and Clayton. They share their home with two dogs, two horses, and two guinea pigs. In her free time, she enjoys showing horses, helping 4-H Horse Project members, reading books, and doing rally and agility training with her dogs.
Lanie Florke, DVM, a South Dakota native, completed her undergraduate work at the University of South Dakota in 2016 and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. After finishing veterinary school, she went on to complete a one year equine internship at Stillwater Equine Veterinary Clinic in Stillwater, MN where she focused mostly on emergency medicine/critical care, surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, and lameness. Dr. Florke is especially interested in equine medicine, reproduction, sports medicine, and dentistry.
Dr. Florke is a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
Dr. Florke has one Quarter Horse gelding, Wyatt, and a cat, Arwen. In her free time she enjoys hanging out at the barn, going on walks, hiking, reading, and relaxing at home.
Laura came to WVVS in September 2021. Laura brings her experience from the human medical field and her lifelong animal ownership to help keep the clinic running smoothly behind the scenes. She shares her home with her cats, dogs, and horses. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time riding her horses and hiking with her dogs.
April joined the Wisconsin Valley Veterinary Service staff in March 2019. April graduated in 2017 with an Associates of Applied Science degree and completed her Certified Veterinary Technician in September of 2021. April lives with her husband Andy and their dogs and cat. In her free time, April enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with her friends and hanging out at home with her family.
Sue started working for WVVS in November 1977. Sue and her husband, Randy, have one son Jeremy, a daughter-in-law Cherrie, and two grandchildren, Riley & Caitlyn. Having grown up on a farm, Sue enjoys working with our large animal clients, as well as our small animal clients.
Vicki has been with WVVS since 2007. She was born in Wausau but lived in Ecuador for 20 years. Vicki enjoys spending her free time working on her small organic berry farm, accompanied by her cats Allen and Colby.
Colleen has been with WVVS since May 2022. Colleen has 3 children. Colleen enjoys spending her free time hiking with her 'pack'.
Dillin was officially adopted from the Lincoln County Humane Society in July 2013. We originally were her foster family while rehabbing her from a burn injury, but quickly fell in love with her adorable face and sassy kitten personality. She had big shoes to fill as our new official greeter but quickly learned the ropes.
Cheyanne joined in October 2021 as a veterinary assistant. She is currently working towards her Veterinary Technician degree at NTC. In her free time, she volunteers her time at a wolf-dog sanctuary.
Kal joined the WVVS team as a veterinary assistant in May 2022. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at NTC.
Annie joined the WVVS family in August 2022. With all her experience with horses, cats, dogs, and pocket pets, Annie is excited to be a Veterinary Assistant. Annie's goal is to be accepted into the Veterinary Technician program at NTC.
Sarah started out at WVVS as a pre-vet job shadow, but was excited to join the WVVS team as a Veterinary Assistant. She is completing her pre-vet studies at UW-Stevens Point.
Natalee started at WVVS in November 2022. Currently a veterinary assistant, Natalee is working towards her Veterinary Technician degree.
